Fabric coupons are simply pieces of cloth of a certain length. So you do not buy a piece of fabric, which is then cut to the desired length of the roll first, but a piece of fabric that has already been cut to a specific length. With us it is a third meter, 33 cm.
We also count as fabric coupons fabrics that can only be cut to a certain length to allow a repeat of the pattern ("repeated coupon"). This applies to Shweshwe panels, with which a skirt can be sewn.
